Hetanism
Beneath the basalt columns of Garni, above the standing stones of Carahunge, the old gods of Armenia still keep their vigil. This is an archive of that faith — its pantheon, its fires, and its return.
Before the cross, there was the sun.
For millennia the Armenians worshipped a pantheon of gods, spirits and ancestors — a faith shaped by the Urartian mountain kingdoms, brushed by Persian Zoroastrian fire, and later crowned by Hellenistic form. In 301 CE the temples fell to Christianity, but the festivals never died. Vardavar still soaks the streets in July. Trndez still leaps its bonfires in February. The old fire is only sleeping.

The Pantheon
The Supreme Triad — Aramazd, Anahit, Vahagn — and the constellation of gods and lesser spirits who shape sky, soil, and hearth.

Sacred Geography
Garni, Carahunge, and the sacred mountains. The land itself was the first altar; the churches that stand today were built upon it.

The Return
The Arordi — Children of the Sun — and the contemporary revival of Hetanism as living Armenian practice.
"The Armenians worshipped the sun and the moon, and the four elements, fire and water, and the sky and the earth — and above all, their ancestors."
