The Armenian pantheon crystallised in the centuries around the turn of the era, when native Urartian gods, Iranian yazatas, and Hellenistic Olympians were reconciled into one family, presided over by a supreme triad. Open any card to read that god's mythology, correspondences, and a rite for approaching them.
At the summit of the pantheon stand three: Aramazd the father, Anahit the mother, and Vahagn the warrior son. Together they governed creation, fertility, and the fire of victory — a family echoing the Iranian Ahura Mazda cult but wholly transformed on Armenian soil.

Beyond the great gods, the highlands teemed with lesser powers — the "small folk" of Armenian religion, whose lives touched the everyday.
